“I have a determination that will never die! I have a zeal that will never dry up! I have a fire in me that cannot be quenched! I must win the lost at any cost, and I can do it through Christ that strengthens me.”

This determination has manifested itself within Archbishop Hudson since the age of three years old when he began preaching from a picture bible. At the age of eight years old, he preached his first public sermon and began to hold services in his back yard until his parents converted their basement into a church capable of having services. Archbishop Hudson was licensed and ordained at 12 years old by his pastor, Reverend F. D. Johnson at Zion Temple Missionary Baptist Church. At the same age, he premiered in the sitcom “Amen” as “Rev. Johnny.”

The Servant, Student, and Shepherd of Shepherds

In December of 1990, Archbishop Hudson left Amen to begin serving as a full-time pastor. At this time, Prayer and Faith Outreach Ministries (now known as The Powerhouse Chicago) was established, and began worshipping at 6907 South Halsted, Chicago, IL, affectionately known as “69th Street”. Since then, The Powerhouse Chicago has moved to its current location at 944 West 103rd Street, Chicago, IL. The membership has increased to over 3,000 members across three Sunday services and several services throughout the week. The mission of Daniel 1:20 to empower the people of God to be 10X better continues to be the central focus of this aggregation of ministries.

In December 1995, he graduated from Chicago State University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Speech, and in June 2000, he graduated from Northern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity Degree.

In August 2004, Archbishop united in holy matrimony to his beautiful wife, Lady Andria Hudson. She is a virtuous woman, gifted writer, and entrepreneur who serves as Pastor at the Powerhouse Chicago.

In July 2010, Archbishop Hudson was selected by Archbishop Roy E. Brown, founding father of Pilgrim Assemblies International to be consecrated to the office of Bishop. On April 5, 2016, Archbishop Hudson was enthroned as Chief Prelate and Presiding Bishop of Pilgrim Assemblies International, Inc. Archbishop Hudson has served as an evangelist and ministered in over 40 States in the United States and has preached Internationally.

Archbishop Hudson has a passion and mandate from birth to preach, Pastor, worship, and touch the world with the Gospel. He carries the grace of a powerhouse, and ability to build leaders to impart this mandate. He is an eloquent speaker, delivering a vibrant message of hope for all audiences with an ability through the Holy Spirit to birth “a sound” in worship that brings deliverance, healing, and breakthrough through the undeniable presence of God. He is a true gift to the body of Christ; with ability to unlock the new things of God, using the keys of the old path and empowering believers to become 10X Better.
